Mastering file preparation

  1. Book and pay for your mastering
  2. Remove any plugins from your mix bus (main output).
  3. Ensure the level on the mix bus doesn’t go above 3dB at any point throughout the song.
  4. Bounce your track at the highest quality possible. Preferably .WAV or .AIFF at 44.1KHz and 24 Bit. No MP3s please 🙂
  5. Make sure the files are named in the format: Artist Name-Song Name.
  6. Upload the file(s) to a sharing service like Sendspace, Wetransfer or Dropbox. If you have multiple files it’s best to .zip them first and then you can upload as a single file.
  7. Email over the link to your files with your booking reference number.

Mixing file preparation

  1. Book and pay for your mixing
  2. Remove any heavy Reverb/Delay/EQ/Compression from the tracks but feel free to leave any FX that are essential for tone (such as Phaser, Chorus, Filters etc.)
  3. Remove any plugins from your mix bus (main output)
  4. Export individual tracks from your DAW, preferably .WAV or .AIFF at 44.1KHz and 24 Bit. No MP3s please 🙂
  5. Place all the files for a single song into a folder with the name formatted Artist Name-Song Name and .zip the folder
  6. Upload the file(s) to a sharing service like Sendspace, Wetransfer or Dropbox. If you have multiple files it’s best to .zip them first and then you can upload as a single file.
  7. Email over the link to your files with your booking reference number.
